Greek Pilot Courses

Leader: HOU (Hellenic Open University)

HOU, in collaboration with Epimelitirio Ilias (EPI), will deliver the following two blended learning courses:

  • “Inclusive Tourism Frontline Staff” (ITFS)
    Level: EQF6
    Timing: about 260 hours over a period of 6 month (full-time) or 10 months (part-time/in-service/ extra occupational training).
    Credits: 9 ECTS
    Certificate: students will receive a Certificate of Further Education from HOU
    Entrance requirements: Holders of relevant qualification at level EQF6 or higher (i.e. HEI graduates), or students pursuing a qualification at level EQF6 or higher (i.e. undergraduate students) who have already collected 75% of the ECTS credits required to obtain his / her qualification, as well as holders of relevant EQF5 qualification (i.e. VET schools graduates) with or without professional experience.
    Expected participants: 20-25
  • “Inclusive Tourism Manager” (ITM)
    Level: EQF6
    Timing: about 260 hours over a period of 6 months (full-time) or 10 months (part-time/in-service/ extra occupational training)
    Credits: 9 ECTS
    Certificate: students will receive a Certificate of Further Education from HOU
    Entrance requirements: Holders of relevant qualification at level EQF6 or higher (i.e. HEI graduates), or students pursuing a qualification at level EQF6 or higher (i.e. undergraduate students) who have already collected 75% of the ECTS credits required to obtain his / her qualification, as well as holders of relevant EQF5 qualification (i.e. VET schools graduates) with or without professional experience.
    Expected participants: 20-25

The enrolled learners in each course will have to study online material, will collaborate with their peers, and will be tutored by teachers and experienced professionals. The online learning will be complemented by face-to-face learning sessions to solve questions, implement collaborative learning scenarios, and review the theory delivered through the online learning materials. The face-to-face sessions will be organised in collaboration with the partner Epimelitirio Ilias (EPI), which will be the intermediary with the local stakeholders (learners, employers) and will facilitate and support the sessions at a local level.
